We are a bakery located in South Auckland and we are recruiting an experienced Baker that will join our close-knit team.

Role Summary:
• Preparation and Baking: Accurately measure, mix, and prepare ingredients to bake a variety of baked goods such as bread, cakes, pies, and sweet slices.
• Cooking Pie Filling and Hot Food: Create pie fillings and ensure the preparation of hot food items meets our bakery’s standards.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain the quality of baked goods by ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
• Food Safety and Hygiene: Strictly adhere to food safety standards and hygiene practices
throughout the baking process. Maintain a clean and organised workstation.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and ensure timely ordering of ingredients and supplies to avoid interruptions in production.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations.

About You:
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Baker or in a similar role.
• Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts.
• Personal Attributes: Honest, flexible, hardworking and able to multitask.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of food handling and hygiene practices, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Teamwork and Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely.
