Remuera rest home and hospital limited is looking for motivated Caregivers who can work in a challenging environment for 30-40 hours each week. We have full time positions available and are looking for dedicated individuals in this field to work in Remuera Auckland. 

This position mainly responsible for Supporting residents with activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of Registered General or Comprehensive Nurse.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform the nursing procedures that support residents in daily living activities as taught during orientation, as laid out in the Procedures Manual and as demonstrated 
  • Resident uniqueness
  • Conversant with emergency procedures and can demonstrate his/her ability to use all emergency equipment effectively
  •  Safety and infection control 
  • Acknowledge personal and professional responsibility

Job Requirements:

  • Level 4 qualification in New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent qualification.
  • Preferably has prior work experience as a Healthcare Assistant or caregiver in a rest home.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the ageing process and complex needs.
  • Compassionate, patient, and understanding nature.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Accompanying aged and disabled persons during daily activities
  • Be culturally sensitive and able to engage with family
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Working place, hours, Wages Level

  • Working in a nice place located in Auckland
  • Weekly Hours: You will be paid at actual hours however we guarantee minimum 30 hours and maximum 40 hours
  • Remuneration: Great market driven rates on experience, hour rate $28.25
