Requirements 

  • At least 2 years of experience working in an authentic Thai Massage business, OR
  • A related qualification (at NZ Register Diploma level or higher, overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification), OR
  • The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) from Thailand, OR
  • Any skill standard assessment certificate as a Thai massage practitioner.

Job Descriptions

  •  Managing bookings and schedules for customers/clients

  • Liaise with customers/clients on their requirements and areas of concern

  • Understanding clients’ physical condition when providing treatment

  • Deal with areas of concern by using a variety of Thai Massage techniques within your experience and skill

  • Providing treatment to soft tissue in order to relieve muscle tension

  • Promote ongoing treatment and recommendations to further improve customers/clients well being

  • Use other resources available to you to provide the best service possible including oils and hot stones

  • Evaluating the client's physical state and medical background while providing guidance on stretching routines and relaxation methods.

  • Carry out massage therapist duties including greeting, preparing and using genuine Thai Massage techniques with all customers.

  • Carry out deep tissue and sports massage treatment

  • Ensure the workspace is clean and presentable for all customers and a high standard of Hygiene is maintained for the workspace and all equipment is in good repair and state.

  •  This is a full-time and permanent position

  • Wages range from $27 to $30 per hour, depending on your experience and skills, and you will be paid weekly. 

  • Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law
  • You will be working at the three different locations listed below

                2/23 Majoribanks Street, Mount Victoria, Wellington                                                                          Level 2/22 Brandon Street, Wellington Central, Wellington 
                Level 1/6 Margaret Street, Hutt Central, Lower Hutt

  • You will work according to a roaster 5 - 6 days each week with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours)
