Hours Per Week: Minimum 30 hours guaranteed

Hourly Rate: $28.25 per hour

Note: Reasonable food, accommodation and utilities will be deducted from wages as part of the live-in arrangement. Reasonable expenses incurred as part of employment, such as the cost of petrol, will be reimbursed.

 

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Live-in Caregiver to join our team at Greensboro Limited in the Wellington region. In this role, you will provide personalised, high-quality support to a female client in her 80s who is living with cancer and dementia, in a private, home-based setting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 ·         Personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing

 ·         Administering medications as prescribed

 ·         Preparing meals and assisting with feeding

 ·         Supporting mobility and physical exercises

 ·         Providing companionship and emotional support

 ·         Performing light housekeeping and laundry duties

 ·         Liaising with healthcare professionals and family members as needed

 ·         Must live on-site and be available for overnight care and emergencies

 ·         Travel may be required for errands or medical appointments

 

Job Prerequisites:

 ·         Minimum of 3 years' prior experience as a caregiver or in a related healthcare/support role

 ·         Ability to work independently and in a team

 ·         Good communication and interpersonal skills

 ·         Reliable, trustworthy, and empathetic

 ·         First Aid certification and related training (preferred)

 ·         Clean criminal record

 ·         Valid driver’s licence and access to motor vehicle
