Security Technician – Installation & Maintenance

We specialize in Sky TV installations, Starlink setups, audio/video systems, CCTV, alarms, intercoms, and gate automation. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Security Technician to join our team and handle installation, maintenance, and upgrades across our service regions.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, design, configure, and commission security networks and systems.

Analyze and monitor network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.

Identify and resolve network and system issues efficiently.

Recommend improvements, upgrades, and enhancements for system performance.

Install, program, and calibrate alarms, access control systems, gate automation, and intercoms.

Perform installations of audio-visual equipment, including home entertainment systems.

Configure, check, and guide clients on electric vehicle fast charging systems.

Replace and troubleshoot Sky TV equipment, including decoders, LNBs, and satellite components.

Ensure all work complies with safety and industry standards.

Deliver excellent troubleshooting on all major brands of alarm and CCTV systems.

Provide clear communication and client support, both verbally and in writing.
Skills & Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience in CCTV, alarm, and intercom installations, or a relevant qualification (NZ Level 4 or higher, or an equivalent overseas qualification).

Strong problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work independently and efficiently.

Valid driver’s license; willing to travel across the service regions time to time, like in Bay of Plenty, Waikato, up north.

Physically fit and comfortable working at heights.

Familiarity with health & safety protocols (advantageous).

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Pay Rate: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
