We are seeking applicants who have a passion for the beauty industry and want to work with a dedicated group of experienced Therapists. Nelson's most established beauty salon.

Full-time position, 30 hours /week minimum, up to 50 hours /week maximum offered during peak periods. 

Competitive wage $30 - $32/hr

Suitable candidates must:

  • Have at least 3 years recent experience working a Salon as a Therapist and have passion for the industry.
  • Be trained in Beauty Therapy, with qualifications. Ideal candidates will have a Diploma in Beauty Therapy from New Zealand or international qualification.
  • Have strong skills and experience in massage therapy and love to offer massage to clients.
  • Be experienced in all aspects of skin and beauty including but not limited to massage, body
  • treatments, advanced facials, eye treatments including tinting, curling, Manicures, Pedicures. waxing, nail treatments, and eye treatments, as well as more advanced treatments using IPL.
  • Be knowledgeable in skin rejuvenation and permanent hair reduction and electrolysis.
  • Be someone who thrives being part of a busy and dedicated team.
  • Have a proven ability to sell and promote retail sales, and must be able to recommend suitable products to clients.
  • Be able to speak clearly in English, be computer competent, able to answer a phone and help on our reception desk at times.

We are looking or someone who is experienced and competent, and also keen to learn more and keep improving their skills with on-going training. You should be willing to invest in your clients, treat them with honesty and care, and build lasting relationships. Excellent communication skills are essential. This role is client-facing, and you will also work closely with your co-workers and Manager.

The role requires flexibility. Your weekly roster will include Saturday work every week, with usually a weekday off and Sundays off. At times you may be required to cover annual leave or sick leave for other staff. We work till 6pm with no late nights.
