We are a local famous Chinese restaurant offering delicious Chinese cuisine and extensive beverage selection in the heart of Newmarket. We are open 7 days from 11 am to 9:30 pm.

 

We are looking for three cooks who will help our director to work in the kitchen to ensure a smooth running of service. This role will mainly include:

  • examining foodstuffs to ensure quality 
  • regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment 
  • preparing and cooking food 
  • seasoning food during cooking 
  • portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes 
  • storing food in temperature-controlled facilities 
  • preparing food to meet special dietary requirements 
  • may plan menus and estimate food requirements 
  • may train other kitchen staff and apprentices

 

Job requirements

 

We are looking for a person who has the following:

·      a fair understanding of Chinese cooking,

·      great teamwork skills,

·      excellent time management skills,

·      at least 2 years related experience or hold a relevant skill certificate.
