Prakash Transport Limited is seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our hardworking team based in Auckland. This full-time position offers a hands-on, fast-paced environment where you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across designated routes. While the role is primarily focused on scheduled deliveries, flexibility is essential, as occasional extended hours or varied routes may be required to meet operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate heavy vehicles to transport goods as assigned
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Deliver freight to customers on time and with accuracy
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned vehicle
  • Complete delivery documentation and logbooks accurately
  • Comply with all NZTA regulations and company safety policies
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to coordinate deliveries
  • Assist with loading/unloading when needed
  • Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to management

What We’re Looking For:

  • A valid Class 4 driver’s licence
  • Minimum 2 years of experience driving heavy vehicles
  • Clean driving record with strong knowledge of NZ road rules
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling
  • Good communication skills and a professional attitude
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Familiarity with logbook and basic vehicle maintenance
  • Forklift or Dangerous Goods licence (advantageous)
  • Ability to work flexible hours

  • Employment Terms:
    Minimum 30 hours per week, with potential for additional hours depending on business needs
