We are part of Fairview Aluminium Windows and Doors which is a leading brand in the industry of aluminium window and door manufacturing and installation. We are based in Auckland and provide quality customised services in Auckland Waikato and Bay of Plenty areas.

Currently, we are looking for a Mechanical worker to assist our team in the operation and maintenance of our workshop plants and equipment.

Your Duties:

  1. Reviewing plans for new products, discussing with producers of materials during the investigation and evaluation of materials suitable for specific product manufacturing

2.  Ensuring that the selection of tools, materials and equipment is in compliance with the   relevant rules and standards

3.        Estimating material costs and quantities, and machine requirements

4.    Selecting proper tools, equipment, assembling and installing new and modified components, machine tools and controls

5.       Providing mechanical related technical assistance in introducing and installing new mechanical equipment and plants

6.  Making sure the finished works are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions

7      Diagnosing defects in materials and instituting remedial action

11.       Monitoring the operation and maintenance of equipment to achieve maximum efficiency under safe operating conditions

 

 

The minimum skills experience and qualifications for the role:

  • relevant tertiary qualification, or at least three years of work experience in the fields of mechanical engineering or automation
