We have a modern workshop and are seeking a Welder/Fitter/Fabricator to join our team at the Morrinsville workshop in a Full-time role. Our operations include new builds, maintenance, repairs, servicing and breakdowns on all trucks and equipment. 

In this role your key responsibilities and duties will be:

  • Fabrication and Assembly of New Truck and Trailer builds/parts (Bulk tipper and Auger).
  • Ability to work from drawings and produce a high standard of work.
  • Preventative repair and maintenance on existing truck and trailer units, forklifts, Utes, and other heavy-duty vehicle.
  • Disassembly, repair, and reassembly of components as required.
  • Ensuring that their work is compliant with established health & safety and operating procedures.

Hours:

Guaranteed minimum 40 hrs/week, Monday to Friday 7 am to 5 pm, Saturday on roster ½ day.

Skills required:

  • Relevant Engineering Trade Qualifications or Similar Experience (5 years minimum)
  • Ability to sit and pass a welding ticket test.
  • Ability to work from drawings and produce a high standard of work
  • Competent Mild Steel Mig
  • Competent Aluminium Mig/Tig welding skills
  • Reliability and punctuality are key – be on time and have great attendance
  • Be honest and trustworthy
  • Valid Drivers Licence, international licence is also acceptable.
