We are a house foundation company based in Northshore Auckland and are currently seeking 2 Formworkers for concrete foundation work to join our team. 

The roles will be based at various construction sites across the Auckland region

Position: Formwork Worker
Reports to: Manager/Site Supervisor/Director
 
You will need to work from Monday to Saturday, between 7:30am to 6:30pm, for at least 30 hours, and up to 50 hours.
Your Hourly Rate will be $30.00 - $35.00, which is based on your skill level.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
1. Reading Plans and Specifications:
• Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to determine the design and dimensions of formwork structures.
2. Constructing Formwork:
• Build formwork structures using materials such as timber, plywood, steel, and aluminium.
• Cut, shape, and assemble formwork components to the required specifications.
• Install bracing, ties, and supports to ensure the stability and strength of the formwork.
3. Erecting and Dismantling Formwork:
• Set up formwork on-site, ensuring it is level, plumb, and properly aligned.
• Dismantle formwork after the concrete has set, ensuring minimal damage to the structure and materials.
4. Concrete Pouring Preparation:
• Inspect formwork to ensure it is watertight and capable of withstanding the pressure of wet concrete.
• Apply release agents to formwork surfaces to prevent concrete from sticking.
5. Quality Control:
• Check the accuracy of formwork dimensions and alignment before concrete pouring.
• Ensure formwork is free from defects and meets safety and quality standards.
6. Maintenance and Repair:
• Repair and maintain formwork materials and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Reuse and recycle formwork materials where possible.
7. Collaboration:
• Work closely with other construction professionals, such as site managers, engineers, and concrete workers.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth project execution.
 
Requirements for the applicants:
• You will need to have at least 2 years of relevant work experience, preferred in formwork carpentry or concrete-related experience.
• On-job training will be provided where necessary
 
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to hygiene, teamwork, punctuality, and adaptability.
