We are hiring for HYPERCON LIMITED, a concrete pumping and laying specialist based in Auckland. With over a dozen trucks and concrete pump vehicles in our fleet, we provide commercial and residential concrete services across the Auckland region. To maintain the reliability and safety of our operations, we are seeking experienced Motor Mechanics to join our team.

Job Title                                 Motor Mechanic (Heavy Vehicles & Concrete Pump Trucks)

Job Location:                        Auckland

Number of people need:    2

Employment Type:               Full-time, Permanent

Days Required:                     Needs to be available from Monday to Saturday, between 7:30am to 6:30 pm

                                               May need to work during weekends or public holidays; 

Hourly Rate:                          $27 - $32

Hours per Week:                   Guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week. Up to 50 hours per week.

 

Key Responsibilities include:   

• Diagnosing mechanical faults in heavy vehicles and concrete pump trucks, using diagnostic equipment and tools
• Performing routine maintenance and servicing on trucks, pump systems, engines, brakes, hydraulics, and transmissions
• Conducting emergency repairs and troubleshooting mechanical issues to minimise vehicle downtime
• Inspecting and replacing damaged or worn-out vehicle components such as hydraulic pumps, hoses, cylinders, and fuel systems
• Performing preventative maintenance to ensure fleet reliability and safety
• Coordinating with operations teams to schedule servicing and repairs without interrupting daily work
• Maintaining service records and inventory of spare parts
• Complying with health and safety standards in the workshop and on-site environments

 

Requirements for the applicants:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in motor mechanics, preferably with heavy vehicle or construction equipment
• OR completion of a motor mechanic qualification
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and engine systems
• Experience with concrete pump trucks or heavy machinery is highly preferred
• Able to work independently under time pressure and prioritise urgent tasks
• Valid driver’s licence (Class 1 required; Class 2/Class 4 highly preferred)
• Physical fitness to carry out manual repairs and work in outdoor environments
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to maintain accurate service records
• Ability to attend an onsite interview preferred
