Position Overview: 

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Restaurant or Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations, lead a team of staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality service and food. This role is vital in maintaining customer satisfaction, managing resources efficiently, and supporting the long-term growth of the business. 

Key Responsibilities: 

- Plan, direct, and manage daily food service operations to ensure high service standards. - Supervise and coordinate kitchen and service staff, including recruitment and training. - Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations. - Monitor inventory and order food, beverages, and supplies as needed. 

- Handle customer feedback, resolve complaints, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. - Maintain financial records, monitor budgets, and report on performance targets. - Develop and implement marketing promotions or customer loyalty programs. - Prepare staff rosters and manage shift planning. 

- Conduct regular staff performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching. 

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in hospitality management or

- A relevant qualification at NZQF Level 5 or higher (e.g., diploma in hospitality, business management). 

- Strong leadership and team management abilities. 

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

- Good understanding of food safety laws and licensing regulations in New Zealand. - Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure. 

- Familiarity with POS and stock management systems. 

Working Conditions: 

- Full-time, minimum 30 hours per week 

- Weekend and evening work as required 

- On-site, customer-facing role
