HVAC Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team at Apex Air in East Tamaki, Auckland. As a full-time HVAC Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance and servicing of commercial and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration systems. This is a hands-on role with a focus on providing high-quality, responsive service to our valued customers.

What you'll be doing

• Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on a variety of HVAC and refrigeration systems

• Diagnose and repair faults in equipment, including troubleshooting electrical, mechanical and control issues

• Provide advice and recommendations to customers on system performance and upgrades

• Maintain accurate records of work undertaken and parts used

• Ensure work is completed to the highest standard, meeting all relevant safety and quality standards

• Collaborate with the wider team to deliver exceptional customer service

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in HVAC or refrigeration, such as a Certificate in Engineering (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning)

• Minimum 3-5 years' hands-on experience as an HVAC or refrigeration technician

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with customers

• A clean driving licence

• Commitment to safety and quality in your work

• Registered EST under EWR (preferred)
