Steel Fixer

PURPOSE
Steel fixing for concrete construction works

• $29.66 - $40.00 per hour
• Monday to Friday
• Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed
• Must maintain physical fitness to be able to safely undertake labour work in the civil construction environment
• Driving licence required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.       Maintaining, managing, and servicing equipment.

• Keep all equipment well maintained and in good working order.  
• Undertake prestart inspections and immediately report any defects to your supervisor. 

2.       Onsite works.

• Diligently undertake site works as directed by your Senior Site Supervisor or Supervisor.
• Only operate plant and equipment you have been trained on and approved to operate.
• Measuring and cutting steel bars as per construction drawings and plans
• Bending, laying, and fixing steel bars and mesh
• Placement of concrete around steel reinforcing

3.       Health & Safety.

• Set an example of proactive high health and safety standards and ensure others on site adhere to good health and safety practices.   

4.       Representation

• Represent the company professionally at all times.

5.       Environmental

• Ensure any actions impacting the environment are reported to your supervisor and/or acted immediately and in a safe manner.
• Minimise waste and energy usage.

6.       Quality

• The quality of your work should be carried out in accordance with our quality policy.
• Ensure good site records are kept, including but not limited to H&S paperwork, drill logs, installation records, daily briefings, H&S incident reports.

7.       Timesheets

• Maintain and timely submission of accurate and detailed timesheets
