We are looking for multiple experienced slaughterers to join our team located in Wellington region.

The role's day-to-day tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Slaughters livestock and prepares carcasses for further processing by removing internal organs and hides for consumption
  • Operating switching controls to direct and drop carcasses and meat cuts from supply rails to boning tables
  • Cutting meat to separate meat, fat and tissue from around bones
  • Washing, scraping and trimming material and blood from meat
  • Cutting sides and quarters of meat into standard meat cuts
  • Operating restrianer and stunning equipment.

To qualify for this role, you need to have:

  • At least 2-year experience in the industry
  • Work as a team
  • Excellent communication skills and can-do attitude
  • Ability and fexibility on a rostered basis work, early & night shifts, as well as working throughout weekends and public holidays.
  • Have your own transport to work, preferrably with a full driver's licence.
  • Have NZ citizenship, residency or valid work visa.

For the right candidate, we offer an hourly rate from $26 - $35 per hour, depending on your experience with guarantteed 30 hours per week.
