Petcare Kiwi Shop & Grooming is a boutique grooming and boarding facility located in East Auckland. We pride ourselves on providing loving, safe, and high-quality care to dogs and cats. Due to growing demand, we are hiring a Kennel Hand to support our daily pet care operations. The guaranteed working hours is a minimum of 30 hours per week, and the hourly rate is from $25-$29, subject to your skills and experience.

The Kennel Hand will assist with the care, hygiene, and well-being of animals in our facility. Key duties include:

·  Feeding, exercising, and monitoring dogs and cats

·  Deep cleaning and sanitising kennels and grooming areas

·  Bathing and drying pets under supervision

·  Assisting with animal handling and observing behavioural changes

·  Supporting front-of-house cleaning and basic customer service

Skills Required:

·  A minimum of one-year relevant work experience in pet caring, caregiving, nursing or domestic assistance

·  Must love animals and be patient, gentle, and reliable

·  Physically fit and willing to perform demanding tasks such as lifting and deep cleaning

·  Able to work during the weekends and public holidays if required

·  Strong attention to hygiene and safety

·  Flexible with time and location – may work in East/Central Auckland as we grow. A driver’s license or national equivalent is preferred.

·  No criminal convictions and a negative drug test result may be a condition on your employment
