About the Role
Blockhouse Bay School of Music is looking for an experienced and passionate Guitar Tutor to join our music education team. This role is responsible for teaching guitar lessons to help potential students nurture a love of music and achieve their long-term music goals.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and teach individual and group guitar lessons to our students
Prepare students for performances, concerts, exams and competitions
Develop tailored learning plans based on students’ levels and goals
Provide constructive feedback and track student progress
Maintain clear and professional communication with students and parents
Actively participate in the school community, events, and activities
Inspire a positive and collaborative learning culture
Maintain lesson records and student reports

Skills and Experience Required:
A professional approach, confident manner, and positive approach to change are essentials
Ability to inspire and motivate students with patience and professionalism
Ability to work under pressure with time management skills
Proven experience teaching guitar to children and adults
Excellent attention to detail

Qualifications:
A bachelor’s qualification in Music
OR at least 3 years of relevant teaching experience
Strong foundation in music and guitar technique

Hours of Work: Minimum 30 hours per week
Hourly Pay Rate: $30 - $45
