We are seeking a skilled Staircase Draftsperson to join our team, responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and 3D models for custom stair systems. You will integrate aesthetics, functionality, and safety to deliver customized staircase solutions for clients, traders and production teams, while coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure project efficiency.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed construction drawings, assembly plans, and 3D models for  staircases,system, steel, timber, glass, etc. using AutoCAD, Sketchup, Revit, Photoshop and Indesign.
  • Optimize staircase designs based on client specifications or architectural plans, ensuring compliance with NZ Building Code (NZS 3604) and safety standards.
  • Liaise with the production team to provide technical support and design adjustments.
    Participate in project meetings, assisting with cost estimation and material selection.

Requirements Essential:

  • Qualification: Diploma or higher in Architectural Draft ing or related field. or/
    Experience: Minimum 2 years in architectural/structural drafting; experience with staircases, balustrades, or custom joinery/steel work is a plus.
  • Software: Proficient in AutoCAD and Sketchup; familiarity with Revit/BIM or other 3D modeling tools.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of NZ building regulations and construction processes.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and basic structural principles.
  • Experience in prefabricated/modular design (advantageous).
  • Strong communication skills; bilingual (English/Chinese) is a bonus but not required.
