About the role

Are you passionate about cars? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, driven by targets and motivated by success? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to be Vehicle Panel Beater in our team.

Tasks include:

·         Inspecting vehicle for damage and provide quotes and insurance reports.

·         Removing damaged panels and parts

·         Straightening/reshaping damaged panels using mechanical and hydraulic equipment

·         Replacing severely damaged body panels with new parts as needed

·         Correcting any frame misalignment using specialised equipment

·         Filling holes and hammering dents out of panels

·         Applying body filler to smooth out imperfections and sanding to prepare surfaces for painting

·         Accurately complete all paperwork, documenting parts used, labour hours, and repair processes for each job.

·         Coordinate with the Parts Department to identify, order, and manage parts required for repairs.

·         Maintain a clean and organised workshop in accordance with health and safety regulations.

·         Follow company health and safety protocols, including reporting all accidents, incidents, or damages promptly.

·         Contribute to weekly "toolbox meetings" and company policies and procedures.

 

To be successful in this position, our ideal candidate will have:

·         Relevant qualification (Level 4 qualification in Automotive Engineering or above); or at least three year of relevant experience

·         Must have a full clean New Zealand driver’s licence

·         Flexibility to work all shifts including weekends and public holidays (as may be required)

·         Professional approach.

Hours of Work: 
45 hours per week (30 hours guaranteed), from Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm. An employee
may be required to work on weekend and up to 52 hours per week. 

Rate of pay $30 to $35  per hour
