Wanted Full time Painting Trades Workers for Auckland-based Company
Position: Painter (two vacancies)

Employment type ; Full time
Duration : Permanent (five days per week plus weekends if required)
Wages : $30 per hour (40 hours per week) earning minimum $1200 weekly

Description
Work involves all tasks related to painting and decorating. Work locations can be varied but within the greater Auckland region. You must be available to work from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday with optional weekends, depending on the timeframe of each project.
Duties of the Role:
· erecting scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering
· preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces
· selecting and preparing paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives
· applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays
· hanging wallpaper, matching patterns and trimming edges
· cleaning equipment and work areas
· may repair windows and replace glass in wooden and metal frames
· cleaning up after finishing each job, storing all leftover paint, supplies, and materials properly
· performing minor repairs on surfaces as needed
Requisite Competencies
· Physically fit with ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for long periods of time
· Be comfortable working at heights and on ladders
· Awareness of health and safety requirements and high safety-consciousness
· A keen eye for detail and ability to work without constant supervision
· Reliable & able to get to work on time at a variety of site locations
· The right to work in New Zealand
Qualification
NZQF Level 4 qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) OR at least 3 years’ relevant experience
