A&V Investments operates a combined vape and grocery retail store in Auckland, committed to providing quality products and excellent customer service. We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Store Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, lead a small team, and ensure smooth retail operations.

This is a full time role with a minimum of 30 hours gauranteed

The Store Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of retail sales staff and ensuring the store operates efficiently and profitably. This role will involve managing stock levels, supervising staff performance, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, particularly in relation to vape product sales.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan, organize, direct, control and coordinate the operations of the store.

    • Ensure efficient stock management, including ordering, receiving, storage, and inventory control for both grocery and vape products.

    • Manage and lead a team of retail assistants, including rostering, training, performance management, and staff development.

    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including age-restriction laws related to vape product sales.

    • Monitor and drive sales performance, analyze sales data, and implement strategies to achieve sales targets.

    • Maintain store presentation and merchandising standards to maximize product visibility and appeal.

    • Resolve customer queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

    • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing, delivery, and product range.

    • Prepare financial and operational reports, including budgets, sales forecasts, and inventory summaries.

    • Ensure store compliance with all applicable laws and company policies, particularly around the sale of regulated products.

    Key Requirements:

    • Level 5 Diploma or Certificate in Business, Retail Management, Operations or a related field is the minimum requirements for this role. 3 years of retail work experience can be a substitute to the qualification requirements

    • A Bachelors Qualification in any discipline or New Zealand work experience is preffered but strictly not mandatory.

    • Having 2 - 3 years of work experience in a retail or business setting in addition to the qualification requirements will be a great advantage (not mandatory)

    • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for selling vape products (training can be provided).

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.

    • Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused.
